e.g.&nbsp; \u201cCan you give me a ballpark figure on how\nmuch X will cost?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bandwidth<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 Capacity or\nability to do something.&nbsp; e.g. \u201cDo you\nhave enough bandwidth to do this?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Been\nThere, Done That<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Something already discussed or done\nbefore.&nbsp; Usually meant as something that\nis not going to happen again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Benchmark<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 1.&nbsp;\nThe Standard.&nbsp; 2. A goal.&nbsp; e.g. \u201cYou\u2019ve really set the benchmark for\nfuture projects!\u201d&nbsp; Or \u201cGetting this done\nwill set our benchmark for the next steps of the project.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Best-in-class<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 The best available in a particular\ncategory.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp; \u201cThis application is really the\nbest-in-class\u201d&nbsp; <em>See also Best of Breed.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Best\nof Breed<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Similar to Best-in-class, it\u2019s generally\nmeant something is the best available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Best\nPractice<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Work done based on previous experience and\nwhat has worked out the best.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp; \u201cDoing it this way is best practice\u201d or \u201cWe\nwant to follow best practices\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Big\nBang<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Doing several things at once.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp;\n\u201cWe\u2019ve decided to do a Big Bang implementation and have all three things\ngo out at once\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Big\nData<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Large stores of data or a large database of\ninformation.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp; \u201cWe might need to bring big data in to look\nat this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Big\nPicture<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;\u2013 <\/strong>The overall view\nof a situation.&nbsp; Instead of small\ndetails, it\u2019s a summary.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp; \u201cCan you give me the big picture?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bigwig<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 An\nexecutive.&nbsp; E.g.&nbsp; \u201cAre there any bigwigs attending this\nmeeting?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bio\nBreak<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Generally meant as \u201cI need to go to the\nbathroom\u201d but can also mean any kind of break that can needed like stretching\nor standing at a meeting.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp; \u201cLet\u2019s take a bio break.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bite\nthe Bullet<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Something that just needs to be done despite\na cost.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp; \u201cWe might just have to bite the bullet and do\nthis\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Blamestorming<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Spending time coming up with reasons why\nsomething did not work.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp; \u201cEnough blamestorming, let\u2019s move on!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Blast<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Something sent out quickly to a large\ngroup.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp; \u201cWe just sent out an email blast.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bleeding\nedge<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Something that is very recent, even more\nrecent than cutting edge.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp; \u201cWe need technology that is on the bleeding\nedge.\u201d <em>See also Cutting Edge.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Blue\nSky Thinking<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 An idea that only works when everything is\nperfect.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp; \u201cwell that is just blue sky thinking!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Boil\nthe Ocean<\/strong> \u2013 <em>See\n\u201cWe can\u2019t boil the ocean\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bottleneck<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Something that is constricting.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp;\n\u201cThis development is becoming a bottleneck to the whole project!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bottom\nLine<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 The ultimate truth.&nbsp; E.g.&nbsp;\n\u201cWhat is the bottom line?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Brainstorm<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 To sit as a\ngroup and come up with ideas for something.&nbsp;\ne.g.&nbsp; \u201cWe need to brainstorm on a\nsolution for this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Break\nFix<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;\u2013 <\/strong>An issue of\nsomething that is broken and needs fixing as opposed to a project to change\nsomething.&nbsp; E.g.&nbsp; \u201cIs this a break fix or is this a project?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Brick\nand Mortar<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 A traditional physical building\/office as\nopposed to a virtual building.&nbsp; Typically\nrefers to stores but can mean an office as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bubble<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 1.&nbsp; A\ngrowth period that can suddenly end.&nbsp;\n2.&nbsp; An enclosure where the occupant\nis unaware of things occurring outside of the enclosure.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp;\n\u201cWe\u2019re currently in a growth bubble\u201d or \u201cHave you been in a bubble to\nnot know this?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Budget\nNeutral<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Something that does not affect the\nbudget.&nbsp; Typically it is something that\nhas no cost but it can be something that is offset by something that is removed\nfrom the budget.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp; \u201cAcquiring this would be budget neutral.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Buy-in<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 To agree to something.&nbsp; e.g.&nbsp;\n\u201cwe need buy-in from the all users to the new system.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Buzzword<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 A current word that has gone from obscurity\nto frequent use.&nbsp; Sometimes made-up but\nthey can be an existing word that rises to sudden popularity that is used\nprimarily because of its popularity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>BYOD<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;
