This is our collection of early color television classic TV shows. These include historic recordings from the mid to late 1950s and early 1960s before the widespread adoption of color TV.
Most shows at the time were saved on Black & White Kinescope films so many of the early color broadcasts have been lost because a means to record them on video tape didn't exist. When video tape did become available it was very expensive and networks often recorded over older shows to save money. Some classic tv shows did survive and these are some of the oldest shows. As we discover early classic TV shows in our collection we make them available for you to stream for free.
