Synopsis: Acheological park preserves remains of culture dating from 600. Stamp Location: The parks visitor center is located within the park at Far View, 15 miles south of US 160, south of Cortez. There is also a ranger station at Morefield Village, at the museum and park headquaters 6 miles south of Far View, and at the Step House 12 miles from Far View. |

Synopsis: Park preserves and exhibits the massive granduer of the Rocky Mountains. Auto road leads visitors to over 12,000′ and into an alpine environment much like that in central Canada. Stamp Location: Stamp may be obtained at the Fall River VC just inside the park on US 34 and at the Lilly Lake VC along SR 7 south of Estes Park and outside of the park, at park headquarters and Beaver Meadows VC along US 36 just inside the park west of Estes Park, the Moraine Museum and at the Kawuneeche VC on US 34 just inside the parks southern entrance near Grand Lake. It is also once again available at the Alpine VC (11,796′) on US 34 (Trail Ridge Rd) in the middle of the park! |

Synopsis: Park recognize the national significance of the massacre that occured here in 1864 in American history, and its ongoing signficance to the Cheyenne and Arapaho people and descendents of the massacre victims. Stamp Location: There are no facilities (or stamp) as of yet. The park is in the establishment phase. |

Synopsis: Park preserves a large, unexcavated Ancestral Puebloan surface site. Currently, there are no facilities or fees at Yucca House. Stamp Location: Stamp is available at the museum in Mesa Verde NP (see separate listing). To access the site, drive eight and a half miles south of Cortez from the US 160 and 666 juncture. Turn west on County Road B. Drive 1.25 miles and turn north on the private drive. Please be courteous of the private landowners and close all gates behind you as you enter to prevent livestock from escaping. |
