Kennilworth Aquatic Gardens | ||
Synopsis: The gardens is the only NPS site devoted to the propagation and display of aquatic plants. The park also contains some of the last remnants of the tidal marsh that Washington was eventually built on. Stamp Location: Stamp is located inside the visitor center, to the left as you walk in (through the gate) from the parking area and is located in northeast Washington, along the tidal Anacostia River. The entrance is just west of I-295 (Kenilworth Avenue), between Quarles and Douglas Streets, on Anacostia Avenue. Park features a spectacular view from the 270-foot tower observation level, which is one of the best of the nation’s capital. Synopsis: Park protects the home of the president and their family. Also known as President’s Park. Stamp Location: The is available on-site at the Kiosk on the Eclipse and at The White House Visitor Center located in the north end of the Department of Commerce Building between 14th & 15th Sts on Pennsylvania Ave, NW. Closest Metro stops are Federal Triangle (blue/orange line) and Metro Center (red line). Be sure and ask for an information sheet that lists most of the passport stamps in the D.C. area and where to find them. Very informative! |
