Game plan – The Schedule or timelime.  e.g.  “What’s the game plan for today?”

Gift of Time, The – The belief that someone owns your time when they schedule a meeting and it ends earlier than they anticipated.  e.g.  “Since we are ending early, I give you the gift of time.”

Global – Across the enterprise or around the world.  e.g.  “This will be a global change.”

Going Forward – From this moment forward.  e.g. “Going forward we will not be taking afternoon breaks.”

Go-Live – The moment something is implemented.  e.g. “The Go-Live target date is December.”

Goal Oriented – Making sure that something aligns with the goals of an organization.  e.g. “The project needs to be goal oriented.”

Goalpost (moving the goalpost) – The target.  The phrase “Moving the goalpost” refers to the target changing.  e.g.  “Lets not move the goalpost in the middle of the project.”

Golden Handshake – A large monetary settlement for an executive to retire.  e.g.  “The CEO received a golden handshake when he retired.”

Golden Parachute – A large monetary payment given to an executive for being let go of their job.  e.g.  “The CEO was given a golden parachute when he was fired.”

Governance – The rules surrounding a how a project will be run.  e.g.  “We need to make sure that these changes are within governance.”

Guiding Principle – The overall point of an organization or project.  e.g.  “We need to always keep our guiding principle in mind as we move forward.”

Guru – An expert in a given area.  e.g.  “Do we need to hire a guru to solve this?”

Granular – Small details.  E.g.  “Let’s not get too granular here!”

Grey Area – Not a clearly defined area.  E.g.  “This is kind of a grey area and I’m not sure this part of the project scope”.
