Icon – 1. A computer symbol for a program or an action. E.g. “Click on the printer icon on the top menu.” 2. A legendary person. E.g. “That woman is an icon in her field.”
Impact – The results of implementing something. E.g. “This will have a large user impact.”
In the loop – Being connected to other people and aware of what they are doing. E.g. “Keep me in the loop with how it goes.”
In the weeds – Being in the details of something. E.g. “Let’s not get lost in the weeds and let’s move on.”
Interface – How one thing connects with another. Can either be how a person connects with someone or something or how to automated systems connect to one another. E.g. “Let me interface with Joe and get back to you.” Or “The interface between the two systems went down and that’s why you didn’t receive the data.”
Invested In – Having an interest in something. E.g. “We are too invested in getting this done to back out now!”
